It's been an odd week - marketing seminars, editing, tweaking synopses and dealing with all sorts of things I didn't realise I was going to have to do as an author. It was a relief to get to sit down yesterday and actually write a short story! I was starting to worry I wouldn't get to do any writing at all until after I've finished final edits on Posterity. It's an idea that's been bouncing around in my head for a while and I finally decided it was time to put it into words. I like how it's going so far - needs a bit of tweaking, but then that's what first drafts are for!
I've also had it confirmed this week that Thursday 30th September is the day that you can hear fellow Phoenix member Nicholas Mackey on BBC Radio Surrey. He'll be on air around 9.45, talking about the history of Phoenix Writers' Circle and how our anthology came to be, so tune in if you're around.
