Movember Rundown: Week 1

So the first week of Movember is already done, which means it's time to look back over the Mos so far!

1 - The Casanova

The first Mo was always going to be a struggle, but this one just wasn't doing it for me. Plus it kept falling off and ended up wonky. 6/10

2 - The Scoundrel

This Mo definitely caused an impact - where I'd gone for a light grey to start with, this statement piece certainly stood out. Stayed on better but tickled my nose quite a lot. 6/10

3 - Commander Riker

The first requested Mo, this was an attempt at getting something close to Commander Riker from Star Trek: The Next Generation. In hindsight, it was a bit too big for my face, and without the beard it didn't quite look right. On the plus side, it did earn the accolade "lustrous", so I'll take that. Again, rather tickly. 7/10

4 - The Partyboy

This one felt a bit samey - not a fan. 4/10

5 - 80s Gay

I actually loved this one. Thin enough not to tickle, the gap in the middle meant it moved with my face and was super comfy (I even napped in it). Also made me look like a twink, which is kind of a life goal at this point. 9/10

6 - Green Poirot

This one was hard to describe. Although a comfy style, the green was quite vibrant which jarred a little. Still, very easy to drink tea with which is the important thing. 7/10

7 - 70s Pornstar

This one was a real hit with the ladies, for no reason I can fathom. Also got told by multiple people it suited me - not sure if that's a compliment or not! I did like the naturalistic look and the way the colour fit with my skin tone, but it was extremely wide, so very tickly and hard to eat/drink with. 6/10

So there we have it! Plenty of ridiculous looks to keep you going, and many more to come.

Let's not lose sight of why we're doing this though, and that's to raise funds and awareness for men's health. Health starts at home, and simple steps like checking yourself, talking to people you care about and booking to see a medical professional if something doesn't feel right can be the difference between an early diagnosis and a serious one.

Don't forget to donate here, and stay tuned for the next batch of ridiculous taches!
